Governance

VANDU is a member-driven, democratically run organization. The Board of Directors (“The Board“) is elected by membership every year at the Annual General Meeting, held on September 27th, 2025. The Board meets every Thursday at noon, excluding welfare week. After the Board have been elected, they elect an Executive Board.

The Vancouver Area Network of Drug Users is governed through its Constitution and By-Laws. Minutes of every meeting are posted the day after each meeting in the centre.

Any member may attend, but not participate in, any regular board meeting. If you would like to address the board to raise a concern, bring an idea or a proposal, please inform the secretary in advance of the meeting so that you will be put on the agenda.
